These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of the paralegal services (“Services”) provided by CPIP (“We”, “Us”, “Our”) to immigration attorneys (“Clients” or “You”). By engaging withour Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not use our Services.
Services Provided
CPIP offers paralegal services specifically designed to assist immigration attorneys in case preparation, client coordination, documentation management, and submission of immigration related petitions, filings, and applications to government agencies such as USCIS, the Department of Labor (DOL), and others.
The scope of services we offer includes, but is not limited to:
- Case preparation and documentation
- Client intake and coordination
- Preparation of petitions, applications, and supporting documents
- Filing and submission of immigration-related cases to relevant agencies
- PERM process assistance• Family-based immigration case support
- Other administrative support as requested by the attorney
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to provide the following services:
- Case Preparation and Support: Assisting immigration attorneys in the preparation of cases, including document review, client communication, and preparing filings for submission to relevant government agencies (USCIS, DOL, etc.).
- Client and Case Coordination: Facilitating communication between attorneys, clients, and government agencies regarding case updates, deadlines, and requirements.
- Internal Record Keeping: Maintaining records of services provided, correspondence, and case-related documentation.
- Marketing and Communication: We may contact you with important updates related to your cases, our services, or regulatory changes in immigration law. However, you may opt out of receiving marketing communications at any time.
Our Services are provided on a professional, confidential, and timely basis to help streamline and support the attorney-client immigration process.
Client Responsibilities
As a client, you agree to the following responsibilities:
- Accurate Information: You are responsible for providing accurate and complete information necessary for us to carry out the Services. This includes all relevant case details, documents, and timely communication of any changes to the information.
- Compliance with Laws: You must ensure that all activities conducted through our Services comply with applicable immigration laws, regulations, and guidelines set forth by relevant government agencies.
- Confidentiality: You agree to maintain the confidentiality of any sensitive information shared with us. You are responsible for ensuring that your clients are also aware of their obligations to protect confidentiality.
Payment Terms
- Fees: Our fees for the Services are based on the scope and complexity of the work to be completed. Fees will be outlined in a separate service agreement or invoice prior to commencement of work.
- Payment Due: Payments are due upon receipt of invoice unless otherwise agreed. We reserve the right to charge late fees on overdue invoices as specified in the service agreement or invoice.
- Payment Methods: We accept payments via wire transfer, credit card, check, etc. Any fees associated with payment processing (e.g., credit card fees or wire transfer fees) are the responsibility of the Client.
- Non-Payment: Failure to make a timely payment may result in the suspension or termination of Services. In the event of non-payment, we may pursue legal or collection actions to recover owed amounts.
Confidentiality and Data Protection
We understand the importance of confidentiality in legal and immigration matters. All information you provide to us, including client details and case-related documentation, will be handled with the utmost care and stored securely.
- Confidentiality Obligations: We agree to maintain the confidentiality of all sensitive information shared by you or your clients and to use this information solely for the purpose of providing the agreed-upon Services.
- Data Security: We employ industry-standard data protection practices, including encryption and secure storage, to safeguard the confidentiality of client data. We will take reasonable measures to prevent unauthorized access, use, or disclosure of personal data.
- Retention of Data: Client information will be retained for as long as necessary to fulfill the Services and comply with legal or regulatory obligations. Once no longer needed, data will be securely disposed of.
Limitation of Liability
- No Legal Advice: We are a paralegal service provider, and while we assist with case preparation and related tasks, we do not provide legal advice. Our Services are intended to support immigration attorneys and should not be construed as a substitute for legal counsel.
- Limitation of Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, CPIP shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use our Services, including but not limited to loss of data, case delays, or errors in case preparation.
- Indemnification: You agree to indemnify and hold CPIP harmless from any claims, losses, or damages arising from your use of our Services or any violation of these Terms.
Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights associated with the Services, including any work product, documents, templates, and proprietary tools used or created during the provision of the Services, shall remain the exclusive property of CPIP, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, and non-transferable license to use any documents or materials provided to you solely for the purpose of your legal practice and immigration cases. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any of the intellectual property without express written consent from us.
Termination of Services
Either party may terminate the provision of Services at any time, with or without cause, upon written notice. In the event of termination, you are responsible for paying for any Services rendered up to the date of termination. Upon termination, we will return any case-related materials or documents, provided all outstanding payments are made.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify or update these Terms at any time. Any changes to the Terms will be effective immediately upon posting to our website or notifying you directly. By continuing to use our Services after any changes are made, you agree to be bound by the revised Terms.
Force Majeure
We will not be held liable for any delay or failure to perform our obligations under these Terms due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, strikes, government actions, or other unforeseen events.
Entire Agreement
These Terms, along with any written service agreements or contracts between you and CPIP, constitute the entire agreement between the parties. Any prior or contemporaneous agreements or understandings, whether written or oral, are superseded by this Agreement.
